Terms and Conditions

• This competition is organized by Shiny Media in association with LG Electronics. (The Promoter)
• Entry to the competition is free. Entries must be made via www.youtube.com/user/lgmediatalentaward
• The Judging Panel will be made up of representatives of Shiny Media (the Promoter), LG and guest judges


• Sorry, the competition is only open to people over 18, residing in the UK and eligible to work in the UK


• No purchase is necessary but entrants should be aware that they may be subject to local call charges depending on their own individual arrangements for Internet access


• Short-listed finalists will need to be available for a judging day during week commencing 14th January (TBC) to complete the final part of the entrance process


• The prize is:

• 6 month internship, working one day per month at Shiny Media in London (If you live outside the great metropolis please only enter if you’re willing to travel to London)
• All expenses paid trip to 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona 11th-14th February, 2008 (you must be available at this time including additional days for travel if required)
• An LG Viewty mobile phone
• A blog page to share your experiences of participating in the programme
• at the conclusion of the internship you’ll also be based for one full week in the offices of Shiny Media to put all your training into practice

• The competition is open from 21st November and entries must be received on or before January 1st 2008. The Promoter reserves the right to revise this date and extend the period for accepting entries to the competition


• Entries cannot be returned and are the property of the Promoter. Copyright and all other rights and interests in each entry will be and are hereby assigned to the Promoter upon submission of entry. The entries may be used for post-event publicity (including local newspapers) or for internal purposes. Entrants waive any moral rights under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988


• The finalists will be announced on www.shinymedia.com and notified via their YouTube account within [5] days of the 1st January


• Winners will receive in-house training with Shiny Media, an LG Viewty phone, a page on ShinyMedia.com to blog their experiences throughout the 6 month period and an all expenses paid trip to Barcelona to cover the 3GSM World Congress


• The winner consents and agrees to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from the promotion. No additional compensation will be awarded for such promotional activities. Shiny Media and LG Electronics reserve the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity


• Shiny Media will moderate every entry it receives and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant


• By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted Shiny Media's general terms and conditions including the terms of use and Community Guidelines for uploading videos to You Tube


• Promoter reserves right to disqualify any entrant deemed to breach T&Cs
