That someone else appears to be Vidmeter, which has software recording the number of views and comments every hour on the top listed videos on *deep breath* Atom Films, Break.com, Daily Motion, Google, iFilm, Metacafe, Myspace, Revver, vSocial, Yahoo, and Youtube.
The site also has editorial staff who compile the chart, merging similar videos, while there's also some automatic tracking from day to day, to track new entries and so on. It certainly sounds comprehensive. The result is, in theory, a daily chart of the most popular online videos.
So what are we, the web-using public, watching online? Remember, we got Time magazine's award for person of the year, so it better be good. Well, today's Top 10 includes 'Chicks Gone Wild!', 'Girls Having Fun on Webcam', 'Girls Play Rough Too', 'Sex Accident', 'Sexy Webcam Commercial', 'Barbie Girl' and 'Ewa Sonnet's Top Falls Off In Hot Tub'.
